You can set the failure log in limit from Zero to 999. 0 limits allow unlimited trials this means the account will never get blocked. Also Enabled account lockout threshold by setting a time limit from 0 to 99,999 minutes for the account to unlock. 0 minutes means only the administrator can reset the account until them it cannot be accessed.

After logging in to open Run command you have to press Windows+ R key on the keyboard. Then type gpedit.msc in Run command box.
And then click “Enter” key. Then click on Yes button to proceed on the new security dialog box which will appear. Then locate the option Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings >Account Policies > Account Lockout Policy after selection this option double-click on account lockout threshold option on the right-hand side of the window.
This will open a new dialog box. Here you have to enter specific value that you want to set as a limit.
Secondly you can set the duration by opening account lockout duration policy. Then choose the number of minutes you want the user to be locked minutes, and then click OK button.
